I need help coming up with a project that kindergartners can create for an auction.?

Here are a few ideas: There have been beautiful tiles and mirrored frames, bistro tables, benches, crosses, quilts, toy boxes, jewelry, photographs of the kids, stepping stones, and hand prints. This is the first year I'm involved in this project and I would love it if someone could with a great idea for this project.

andre1 answers:

Well, having the kindergardeners make most of the project themselves is the thing that will make the project more sentimental. So choosing something simple is the way to go. One that was always a hit at my parish were tiles that the kids drew a picture of something on. Now choosing a theme for what they should draw is totally up to you. Hand prints are cute, but not very original. A bench is also a great idea, but as far as personalization goes, there's not much a kindergardener can do to make it really special other than write their name. Allow the kindergardeners to be really creative with this. Remeber, the more enthusiam they put into it, the more priceless it will be

I need some help coming up with a name for a craft business. Any creative people who could help!?

Hi, I posted something like this awhile ago but I don't think I gave enough information. So, let's try again. I have a few hobbies and I thought I would try to sell some of them online, like ebay or etsy and I need help thinking of a good name for my store.

I have mostly felt food, dress up dolls, and plush educational toys for kids(shapes, colors, etc.) but I also like making jewelry and would like to try to add that to the store also. And last but not least I always wanted to learn to make soap and candles. Now I know that this is kinda all over the place so it makes it harder. If you think it would be to hard to have it all together then just give me some ideas for the kid related stuff and I can do something later about the soap/candles/jewelry type stuff. Though some of the jewelry is kid based too, like a personalized flower pendant.

Would love a play on words or something that wouldn't only have to be used for the kids stuff and is more general would be great. But any help would be awesome. !

Some ideas I had were with "Creative Play" in the title or maybe a play on "felt" or "sew" but I am kinda lost at this point, I think I am over thinking it and that is why it is getting a little harder now.

more of my nutty friend?

OK one more thing with Stacy. Stacy has tons of clothes, and jewelry. Any way tonight Stacy made arrangements with her mother to pick (by car) her mother up on the way home from work. When Stacy and her mom were in the car Stacy asked her mom “Mom what is in the Kohls package?” Her mom replied “A top and a pair of pants”. Stacy said “Nothing for me”. Stacy’s mom replied “What do you need that you don’t have” Any way that night Stacy’s mom kept Stacy company while Stacy made (and printed) a birthday card on the computer to a friend. Her mom said “Do you have a stamp” Stacy replied “No”. Her mother replied “What do you have except jewelry” This got Stacy upset because Stacy has tons of clothes and was surprised her mother didn’t say except jewelry and clothes. So Stacy said “Why didn’t you say clothes as well” which infuriated her mother. Her mother said “I was making a joke”. Stacy said “But you know I have tons of clothes” Her mother said “What are you retarded that I have to say, clothes and jewelry. The kids I teach I don’t have to spell everything out. I will say to them eat your breakfast, not eat your toast, and cereal, and drink your milk” Stacy of course called me and I said to her your mother knows you have tons of clothes, she just used the jewelry and not the clothes as the joke. MY QUESTION: DO you concur/agree with me?

andre1 answers:

Hell yes I agree, Stacy must need more clothes so her mother talks about them.

What's the best thing to do for a 10th wedding anniversary?

She doesn't like jewelry and we have 2 kids (one is only months old) so we don't want to travel too far. Any creative ideas? We are in Oregon.

andre1 answers:

Would she be offended if you had a surprise party with all of your family? Everyone can help you plan and help prepare food or favors for the party. If not, take her out to a nice dinner and treat her to a spa day. She may need that with little ones running around.

Susan asks…

How can I tell what gems I have on this jewelry?

My grandmother a been put into a care home. I am trying to have all the old jewlery aprraise but can find a trusting appraiser. How do I tell what kind of stones they are? How do I tell if they are real? I have to much to take to a jewelry store for them to test the gem. Were all old diamonds put in with prongs holding them or are there some that were just glued in? If not then what kind are the glued ones? Are they just glass or sub cerconiam (spelling). I need to get an estimated value of this jewelry for insurance purposes cause this is going to be staying here at my home. The company name on some of the jewelry isn't really telling me anything. Is there some websites I can go to and start researching? I need a jewelry book for dumbies. I really need help here. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I do use tias.com for some but I a still getting no where. I admire jewelry experts, there must be so much to learn. to all.

andre1 answers:

Don't do it yourself, it's as much an art form as a technical skill. Ask your insurance company. They may recommend an appraiser.

Any respected jeweler can also do a quick look and tell you what is real and what they are without doing a full appraisal. It's not a big deal and almost any good jeweler will help you. I'm not talking about a mall , they are sales people, about a real jeweler who makes jewelry. Bridal shops can point you in the right direction. Once you know what is real and approximate value, pay for a true appraisal which will have good close photos showing flaws and inclusions, so the stones can be identified, along with a certificate of authenticity.

TIP: NEVER leave your jewelry with anyone out of your sight because they can switch the stones. A good jeweler would NEVER try to take your jewelery out of your site.

TIP2: Don't trust a pawn shop! They have no reason to tell you the real value!

Sandy asks…

Should i tell my parents?

When i was 17 i stole jewelry from home cause i didnt have any money and sold them. Now am 25, i donno if i tell them what would happen but today theyre talking about it and my mom is blaming my dad for it. And that sucks. I assumed when i was 17 that i will return this kind of money when i grow so it was like a kind of investment more than stealing.

andre1 answers:

If someone else is being blamed for your actions, then of course you must tell.

If you don't have all the $$ yet, then arrange payments or something. Tell them they can have some of your tax return money.

Don't let someone else take the fall for you. It's not right.

Ear Cartilage Piercing Jewelry..?

Will an ear cartilage piercing jewelry made of titanium cause my ear to become infected?
I was just wondering because I recently got my ear cartilage pierced, and it's all healed now, and I am looking for jewelry. I found one made of titanium and I really like it, but I'm afraid since it's made of that metal it will become infected.

andre1 answers:

No, most likely it wont get infected if you use that type of metal. Only if you are clinically allergic to metal. It should be just fine though.

Donald asks…

Tell me a title please!?

A face appears onto the clean and shining mirror
And whispers breathy some words I barely can understand.
I look more and see a mask covering it,all flood by dark.
“What do you want to tell me,mysterious soul?”
“I came to show you the way you are inside, come on!”
I walk with silence and fear through the mirror
And reach a great place of pain, happiness and freedom.
The voice leads me to a room and tells me to tell the truth.
Tears fall down the wet floor and with trembling vocals
I speak and I speak and I talk.
I’m not the person that I seem to be.
The whole world of glow and richies isn’t for me.
You treat me as I am the guilty to born in this life
And sometimes the knife just cuts deep inside.
Besides of you,the others who might be closer
They tell I ain’t worth for them and dig in the sorrow.
And so I just hide in a world only mine
Where I can escape and fly and run wild.
The worst is that people I like and admire
They cannot be there when I need them, they can’t.
“Why did you take me again to this place?”
Cause you have to change and show yourself!”
Our conversation closed as I ran out the mirror
And as usual I fell over the bed between toys and pillows.
My feeling melt and the rain pours on the window.
Don’t judge me and tell that I am just faking
And listen to me and stop being blind
Cause gold jewelries and freaky cars don’t fulfill the life.
Be proud of every single good thing of you
And try to be better and enjoy the ones you want to.
Look for the harmony at soul’s level
And have as much as you can faith in God and His prayers.
I have to hide myself as a person and believe me
That I’d give all to change this continuos sorrow.
I still try to make me more stable and when I fall
I stand because I don’t wanna come back to that mirror.
I don’t want to feel the regrets of a lifetime
I want to pick up the hope’s and faith’s flowers..
And the ones who mistreat me,I let ‘em to fade
The past will erase my sadness and certainly
It will bring forgiveness but I’ll never forget.
As a tattoo on my arm,as a scar on my chest
I always feel it and remembering to do my best.

How can I manually unlink a Necklace chain?

- Well I know I can go a local Jewelry store or whatever but I wanna save money plus the time cause they sometime ask for you to come pick it up and in a few hours maybe a day and I'm not looking for that - Just to clear things up if you were going to reply by saying "Go to a Jewelry Store" Cause I'm not looking for that answer, Sorry. :(

Anyway I've got this Necklace a while back and I'm happy with it it's a great Necklace and everything but I now come to see that I don't like how it's not a "Choker" Necklace as seen on TV and I really wanna unlink a few balls, or pearls whatever you wanna refer them as and I wanna know how I can do this or if there's a Video/Website that shows me on how to do this?

Also I would also just remove the Logo and place it on another chain but I don't want to cause I like the chain it came with and I don't own any other chains so I guess that's out as well. :/

So if you can provide me with a Video on doing this or a Website showing you on how to do this or hell even telling me yourself that would be widely appreciated!
-------
If your wondering what chain I'm dealing with I will also provide a Link to the picture and Yes it's that same exact one, in the photo;

http://www.extremewrestlingshirts.com/media/27/a20792a1296c1ecd52b394_m.jpg

- Thanks!!! :-)

andre1 answers:

You need some small pliers (it'll make it much easier) pliers with pointy tips preferably!

If the chain links can 'open up' (look closely) then you can just use the pliers to do that, take off as many loops as you want.

With the logo, just take it off and use the opened loop, carefully put onto the other necklace and squeeze the link back closed again

Will I be made fun of for wearing some fake Juicy Couture Jewelry that i just got?

I bought 3 sucky fakes that suck as replicas but are cute in there own right.
Will kids at school make fun of me?

andre1 answers:

Uhh... Who cares what they think? If you think theyre cute walk around with your confidence girll!!! And if anyone calls you out on them being fake just tell them that they are really shallow for noticing and even pointing it out and that they should go out and buy you the real deal if it bothers them that much. They shouldnt bother you after that.

Any suggestions on a Hawaiian theme party for kids?

My daughters having a Hawaiian themed end of the year party.
Any suggestions on clothes hairstyles jewelry etc?
.its for 7-8 year olds btw.

andre1 answers:

When the children walk in put lays (i know this is not correct spelling) over their heads. Also you could dress up in Hawaiian hula skirts and perform a dance. Idk thinking of random ideas. But it sounds so much fun. Oh also you could make virgin ice drinks! They are always fun.

Charles asks…

good present for my sister who has 2 kids?

I am trying to find good gifts for my sister she just had twins about a year ago and I want to get her something nice. Not jewelry but something she can use and enjoy.

andre1 answers:

Well, Happy Holidays! I am a twin and now realize what my mom (and dad) went through to put up with me and my brother. It sure is difficult and busy dealing with two kids at one time. I think that the best Christmas gift would be a night off. Maybe like a Friday night (or whatever works well with the schedule). You could get her a gift card to a very nice restaurant for your sister and husband. However, you would need to babysit! Let the night be a relaxing "date night" for them two. Assure them that they can enjoy this dinner with just two of them...and no kids! ...I am sure whatever you choose to buy her will be a wonderful gift and she would love it no matter what!

George asks…

Do they make actual jewelry-making kits for tweens?

Our shop got its Angel Tree kids' tags today, and I noticed several of the girls mentioned "jewelry-making kits." Do they make such a thing that already has all the pieces and is geared toward 10-13 year old girls? Where would I find something like that? Thanks!

andre1 answers:

Yeah, they do. You can go to any local store, i.e., Target or Walmart and go to the toy or arts and crafts section, they have them there. Or if you want more variety, try going to an arts and crafts store, like Hobby Lobby, Michael's, or JoAnn.

James asks…

When and why do I start buying jewelry for her?

What is the types of jewelry to buy for the girl in a relationship. Like what order would i buy things like

necklace
ring
bracelet
tiara (just kidding)
and whatever else

what is the order that I should buy these things? and what does each one mean when i get it for her?

And also, At what point should the first piece of jewelry come into play?.

andre1 answers:

Only buy jewelry for a woman who likes to wear jewelry.

Make sure you buy what she likes, because it will be awkward for her to have to wear something because you gave it to her, when she really doesn't like it. (I'm talking about knowing that a person only wears white gold and silver versus yellow gold). A good way to know what a person likes is to go shopping with them and look at stuff or pay attention when she comments on something.

Some people can't stand bracelets. So I think a necklace is a good choice. More mainstream. If she already wears bracelets, then it's okay to do the bracelet.

I don't think you should ever buy a girl a ring. Unless it is an . Rings are way way too personal, and there are many other options with jewelry giftgiving.

Regarding when? Usually as a present for an occasion. Like Valentines, birthday, christmas. Regarding when in your relationship? I guess when you can do it right, when you know her well enough.

How to Dress My Body Shape?

Hi there! Umm, I'm going shopping for a whole NEW wardrobe. My mom is taking me shopping with her tax returns. Sooo, I want to quit dressing like a tomboyish person. I've always hidden in over sized clothes. I'm an apple shape, with diamond tendencies (flat butt). I'm , and I always thought hiding would be best. After a long time, with the support of many friends, I've realized how beautiful I really am, and that I shouldn't be hiding. I'm a person, and every person has their beautiful, unique qualities. My only problem is... I have no clue how to dress. If anyone could help, that'd be great. Here are a few details!(:

I'm:
A teenager (almost fourteen), but have always loved and dressed somewhat more mature.
LOVELOVELOVE dresses
An apple shape.
I have a medium sized bust (awkward stage between a B cup and C cup, roughly size 36)
EXTREMELY flat butt (would love ideas on how to make it appear rounder)
Always enjoyed the boho/indie look
SHORT legs
LONG torso
Really petite, and will not grow much more (about 5'1")
I have semi-large feet (size 9) and skinny ankles
love insane jewelry
I have a lip piercing, getting an industrial, conch, and helix (not sure if this matters)
I have a loud personality, but am still quite shy (not sure if this matters either)

Thanks all!!(:

andre1 answers:

The only venue for children that is more cruel then school would be the internet. I would recommend you find some of your friends, and ask for fashion advice. Here you run the risk of some cyber bully trying to bring you down. But here it goes:

Since you are shaped like an apple, I feel it would only be appropriate to purchase an authentic "Evil Knieval" costume. Do not cheap out and forgo on the cape. It is essential to make the body look streamline and it gives one the illusion of being fast. And we all know that skinny people are fast. So if you look fast, you look skinny.

Second. You said your cup size is floating in the B - C range. I suspect your grades must be hovering in that same realm since you choose to spend your mother's hard earned tax returns based on the advice of anonymous strangers. Alas, if you aint got no booty, draw attention to da (insert word here that rhymes with "booty" but means boobs).

Having a flat bum is a dilemma that many people have. I have sourced the root of this problem to "sitting down". From now on you must stand up... The entire time. If you want to kick it into high gear and achieve maximum butt plumpness, I suggest you do squats while the other slackers are sitting, essentially turning their cheeks into pancakes.

Short Legs? Long Torso? NO PROBLEM. There are millions of dwarves that have the same issue as you. And the great thing is that you will dwarf, all of the dwarves at a whopping height of 5'1". Remember, you always have to play to your strengths.

Now, now. I know what you're thinking. I have an amazing outfit that I'm busting out of. My butt is firm enough to take 4 roundhouse kicks from Chuck Norris. And all of make me look like an Amazonian princes. But, what about THE SHOES?!?!? The answer:
High Heel Sketcher Shape Ups. Don't ask any questions. Just buy them.

You love insane jewelry, and you've already desecrated your body by poking it full of holes. Why not do it some more and tattoo jewelry onto yourself. Nothing says quite says insane and practical like tattoelry. The plus side is that now, you'll never loose your pearl necklace, and the crazy Latina chick can't pull out your earrings when you get into a cat fight over Jose who is on parol and 15 years older then the both of you, combined.

I hope this helped you. If you have any extra money to blow when you're done I would recommend that you purchase a unicorn bicycle. Nothing says LOUD like a caped, tattooed, teenager riding a unicorn bicycle with a pack of midgets chasing after her!

BOOM!

I want to get my mom a pretty and medium sized jewelry box. But every website I've been to either has really ugly boxes or they're super expensive. So if anyone knows of some good looking and cheapish jewelry boxes let me know please! Thanks!

PS. I don't really like the bland all-wood boxes. Maybe if there is a cute decoration on it it'll work though. Thank again!

andre1 answers:

You can probably make your own. You can get a kit and make it. But then again, you can go to Ross or Tj-Maxx or some place that is cheap and look for a box. You can also ask a friend if they have a jewelry box that they don't want. Try every resource you have! :)

Linda asks…

Where should I get my moms Christmas jewelry from?

I am in high-school so i don't have a lot of money. My mom likes wearing gold colored chains with cute little things such as hearts on the chain. Where can i get some cheaper jewelry for her? Like Target, JcPenny's etc. Website links accepted so I can see them to make sure she would like them.
and Merry Christmas.

Kohls would be cool, they have a big selection

How can I make jewelry without tools?

I am going to make some jewelry for my mom for christmas. I have no beading making tools. How can I make the things with tons and tons of beads, different strings and craft skills.

andre1 answers:

I think your best bet is to buy only one thing, elastic cord specifically made for making bracelets. If you have only string you really can't make something she can take off and on unless it's a long necklace.

The elastic cord, which is round and sort of clear, very inexpensive and readily available at craft stores. All you have to do is string the beads on the elastic cord (there are instructions on the package) and tie a knot. When I make this type of bracelet I tie the knot nest to a bead with a big hole, then pop the knot inside that bead so it doesn't show. The elastic cord is really nice because it makes the bracelets easy to get off an on.

It's fine to make multiple bracelets in the same color family. Your mom will want to wear two or three at a time and it's nice if they match. !

I just inherited my Mom's Jewelry. Stuff that had been laying around for years.?

Unfortunately she had no burial policy, so Hubby and I had to borrow the money to bury her. I dont want to keep most of this stuff and would like to help out. Anyone have a suggestions as to who to talk to as far as appraisal and selling of most of the pieces. Any suggestions? She had a black diamond necklace set in silver (touches of tourquoise also) with drop matching earrings, a couple of dinner rings, loose gem stones and few pieces of gold jewelry.

andre1 answers:

Take the pieces to a 'reputable' jewelery appraiser, antique perhaps?

I had the same situation, I went to 3 different appraisers, and boy, did I get different prices ranges... Be very cautious and take your time.

I finally found the 4th appraiser about 80 to 100 miles from my home. And he topped all the the prices.

Glad I took the time and searched out for the best.

Good luck

What does it mean when a guy gives his girl jewelry?

My boyfriend gave me a necklace with matching earrings. We've only been together for a month. But we have known each other for 3 years. We're both 15. What does it mean? Is it a sign that he cares about me? What do you think it means? Thanks for your help! (:

: What kind of jewelry do you like?

What kind of jewelry do you like to wear? Not just necklaces and bracelets and such, but what kind of style do you like? For example with necklaces, do you like pendants? Chokers? Bibs? You can give any type. Pictures would be nice.

andre1 answers:

Although I am not a teenager, I do have a tween and our site has jewelry that is very popular with teens.

Some examples of our most popular styles:

What are trendy/fasionable jewelries for girls at the moment?

I'm looking for some fashionable earrings or necklace for my girlfriend this Christmas. But I have no clue what are the current trends in earrings or necklace? Like what style, color, etc?

Happy holidays

andre1 answers:

Go to Tiffany's and the sales associates will help you out. Anything from that store would make me happy. Also, the Hercules Knot necklace/bracelet/ring from People's is popular. It also has a meaning--look it up! :)

Does anyone know where I can find legitimate work from home?

I've started with one transcription co. but they seem to be the only ones to take a beginner. I can't do call center work because I have 3 small kids and there's no such thing as "quiet" in my house..lol. I've been burned by at least 50 at-home business ventures. I just really need something that I can do from home, with either hourly pay or a decent piece rate, and that doesn't require absolute silence to do. I'm registered on several different WAH sites with forums, but most of the things listed are call center or selling stuff, and I don't have any extra money to invest in candles, jewelry, or makeup..lol. @ :)

andre1 answers:

I haven't seen anyone who was able to find legitimate at-home work unless they started with a company and worked themselves into a position of trust to work from home.

To be honest you are opening yourself to a world of hurt. The information you provide to these types of organizations may not just burn you but could also set you up for identity theft, mail scams and other actions that could wreck your life.

I wish I could provide a rosier picture of the WAH scene but unless you want to spend your day on forums trying to rope other victims into clicking on a link with your affiliate ID you aren't going to find much opportunities that way.

How can I make acrylic, resin, bottle top, or polymer clay jewellery?

I recently started jewellery making and eventually I'd like to start making and designing with the above materials. Just wondering what else I'd need...clippers, jumprings etc.. Erm, also any tutorials you may find (please specify the page if on a forum). I tried DIYScene, Little Black Cherry, Googled continuously...

andre1 answers:

That's a pretty wide range of things, and "polymer clay jewelry" would be a hugely wide field!

Here are some places to begin looking for info about those things though (mostly from my site, but there will also be links to other sites on those pages)... On each page, you'll find tutorials, tips, links to examples, etc:

Advice on Selling My ?

I am a jewelry designer. I have things on Etsy and I have tried Craigslist. I've been selling at brick and morter flea markets and craft fairs mostly. But, I honestly really don't like social situations because I have social anxiety disorder. I would really like to sell online, but it seems like with Etsy you really have to promote your jewelry store with paid advertising, or word of mouth in the brick and morter world, and strenuous promotion through , forums and such because the category is so saturated. And, on Craigslist; no one seems to be interested in handmade jewelry. Only gold and engagement rings and such. Ideally I'd just like to post my jewelry on CL and sell it. My prices have been super low like $10 for a necklace and earring set or $2 for earrings yet nothing on CL. Has anyone got suggestions for selling handmade work on CL? For now I'm just bound to these public venues to make any money off of my craft; and they're honestly torture to me.
I've tried ebay, livesimon and webidz and nothing. I haven't tried yahoo auctions, but this is the first time I've heard of it.
oh plus ebay is just way too expensive.

andre1 answers:

Have you tried selling them on the auctions like yahoo auction or ebay that would give you some light on your product set you up a website or even set up a free group call it junes jewelry shop group or something like that here is a place that has a few ideas they are trying to help poor people become wealthy they will not spam you nor will they share your email address with anyone check them out.

'Personal' DNA jewelry?

I was on a bird forum a year ago and remember something about being able to get your bird's dna, sending it to a professional, and getting a beautiful necklace from it. I forgot who did it, and I can't seem to find it anywhere. All I can find is the kind you do at home, and knowing me, I'll mess up. I'd rather have a professional do it (and plus, it will look better). Oh, I don't want my bird's DNA but my boyfriends. It may sound creepy, but I really want it. Does any one know where I can get it done at?

andre1 answers:

You can get it at DNA-experts.com.
There are many ways to get it done.

What you're looking for in general is "wire work." That covers everything from simple connectors to fancier spirals and other shapes, as well as wire-wrapping, etc.

Any you may also want to check out the Wire page at my site for lessons, ideas, etc., gathered in one place:

http://glassattic.com/polymer/wire.htm

...check out especially the categories called "General Info," "Basic Wire Shapes," and "Other Wire Ideas"

As for "forums," check out these places for jewelry and/or wire forums they may have, as well as the first one at the Art Jewelry magazine website:

Donald asks…

Did your bridesmaids wear jewelry?

If so, was it something you bought for them? Was it earrings, necklace, bracelet? Was it similar to the jewelry you wore? I see a lot of brides give jewelry as a gift but then in most of the bridesmaid pictures on the knot, I don't see them wearing any necklaces?
What are your thoughts on this jewelry set? http://www.davidsbridal.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplayView?storeId=10052&catalogId=10051&categoryId=-49997476&currentIdx=13&subCategory=-49998498%7c-49997997&catentryId=1000004

andre1 answers:

I was MOH in my best friend's wedding over the summer. She had a local jewelry artist make us each a set of earrings and a necklace that we wore with our dresses. They were so pretty and definitely will be kept forever! The artist also made 's jewelry, which was far more opulent than ours but still similar in colour/design.

Ruth asks…

Is it appropriate for bridesmaids to get the bride as a wedding gift?

A mutual friend is getting married in August, another friend (we're both bridesmaids) wants to get her a diamond bracelet to wear on her day. I suggested asking the groom and the parents to make sure such a gift would be okay. Am I wrong?

andre1 answers:

Typically it is appropriate to buy the bride jewelry that has pearls or even a sterling silver dangle bracelet. Popular gifts from the bridesmaid to the bride are loungewear, lingerie, spa treatments, wedding figurines or something personalized. Diamonds are better left to the groom.

Thomas asks…

I need jewelry ideas for my bridesmaids to go with their dresses?

Here's the dress, but it's going to be choc. brown with the sash being pink. I was thinking maybe pearls? Any suggestions would be great!

http://www.billlevkoff.com/collections/index.asp?dress=964

andre1 answers:

Gorgeous dress! I think blush pink pearls would be perfect. Very classy and elegant, plus super easy to wear again (I have pearls I wear with a scoop neck t-shirt, jeans, and heels when i go out!). Pick either long strand necklaces that can be doubled or even tripled to create a shorter look (long strands are hot right now, so your girls are more likely to get use out of them after your wedding), simple pearl stud earrings or short drops, and maybe a single or double strand bracelet. Have you thought about gloves? Pink gloves that match the sash would look really pretty, very Audrey Hepburn. Plus, there's nothing classier than a pearl bracelet over elbow length gloves. Stunning!

These pearls: http://cgi.ebay.com/Elegant-7-8mm-Pink-Pearl-necklace-bracelet-earrings-Set_W0QQitemZ320286189864QQihZ011QQcategoryZ60144QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

These gloves: http://cgi.ebay.com/KISS-ELBOW-LENGTH-SATIN-GLOVES-SEXY-PALE-PINK-LINGERIE_W0QQitemZ320286152316QQihZ011QQcategoryZ15746QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem (get a load of that model's hair- how many cans of Aquanet do you think she went through? Lol)

I'm actually getting pearls for my bridesmaids too. They're wearing black satin dresses (all from Alfred Angelo, but they can pick whatever they want), and some might wear gloves, I'm leaving it up to them. But i'm getting ivory pearls for all of them, each a different style to suit the dress they pick and their personalities. But since your maids are al wearing the same dress, the jewelry should match too. It adds to the cohesive, streamlined look you're going for.

Sharon asks…

Jewelry for my bridesmaids...?

I'm buying matching necklaces and earrings for my 2 MOH and 2 bridesmaids. Any suggestions on where to get some? or websites i could order from? I'm on a very small budget since my fiance and I are still in college and we're paying for the wedding on our own. Thanks in advance!!

oh and the dresses they're wearing is

http://www.alexiadesigns.com/main/?p=182

The MOH are in royal blue. And the bridesmaids are in ice silver. I'd like their jewelry to match if possible.

andre1 answers:

You can get some great for such an occasion from Claires, or see your local AVON representative for it. If you want, I believe there is a good section at Kohls, and Target. Maybe even WalMart. If you want to buy non-costume, go to your nearest small jewelry store and inquire about their sterling silver collection. I work in a jewelry store that has a lot of sterling from $10 to $100. I'm sure you'll find something!

Lisa asks…

Are there any websites with colorful jewelry for my bridesmaids (preferably yellow)?

I've been having the biggest problem with trying to find yellow jewelry for my bridesmaids. The colors in my wedding are black, white, and yellow, my bridesmaids are wearing all black dresses and carrying yellow flowers so I'd like to get them yellow jewelry to wear on the big day as their gifts. The problem is, I cannot find yellow jewelry anywhere! Any help? I'd really like websites with colorful rhinestone jewelry. Thanks!
I think E-bay is out of the line-up because I'm going to have to get 7 sets of the same jewelry. Thanks though!
I checked jewelry.com and they're pretty pricey! I won't be able to afford to buy actual actual precious/semiprecious stones. Thanks for that suggestion too though!
